DeepL Write is the new kid on the block. It will help you write better with respect to spelling, grammar, and style. Suppose you are not comfortable writing reports, reviews, articles, emails, etc. In that case, this application will help you be more confident when writing any content. By the way, this tool is from the same guys who created the DeepL Translator. And like the translator, this content-writing tool is also based on AI. But you must be aware that this tool is still in beta. So don’t expect too much. However, it is already in pretty good shape. And in its beta phase, it already works for two languages: English and German.

What is DeepL Write good for?

This tool can help anyone who needs to create content for articles, reports, or other publications. You can also use it to improve your emails. For a professional email conversation, it might be essential for you to positively impact the receiver. If you are a journalist or in some other position where the receiver must get a good impression regarding your writing skills, then this tool can help. Same for students who need to write reports. In short, this tool improves your writing in every situation that requires accurate spelling, grammar, and style.

What about Grammarly? Is it not the same?

Yes, Grammarly is similar to DeepL Write. It has been around for much longer and is an excellent application as well. Both tools provide excellent results, but there is one thing where Grammarly currently has an advantage. When analyzing the text, Grammarly delivers a lot of information about the mistakes (spelling and grammar) and provides choices to adapt the style. In the beginning, when you start the application, it even asks you if the text is supposed to be for business or for a general audience, if it’s a casual or informative text, if the writing is supposed to be formal or informal, etc. DeepL, on the other hand, will only fix your mistakes (spelling and grammar) and provide suggestions for different styles of sentences or different wording. It lacks the analysis and the information about the reasons why a different style of sentence or word should be used.

However, the advantage of DeepL Write is that it works in two languages, German and English. Grammarly does only support English. And I am sure it won’t take long for DeepL to add additional languages. And regarding the other information that Grammarly already provides, it will probably come at some point. But so far, I’m already very impressed with the new tool. It helps a lot in creating my posts (like this one) 🙂
